Venetia is an accredited professional pension trustee with 9 years’ experience as a professional trustee. She currently chairs three pension schemes and is co-trustee on a further three schemes, including a number of multi-billion DB or DB/DC hybrid schemes and the UK’s first authorised CDC arrangement. In addition to chairing the board for three schemes, Venetia also has various committee roles across the full range of disciplines.

Venetia is a solicitor by background, specialising in pensions law and dispute resolution, both in private practice and in-house. Before becoming a professional trustee she spent three years as an Ombudsman at the Financial Ombudsman Service, making legally binding determinations on pensions and investment related complaints. Her particular strengths are in inclusive chairing, stakeholder engagement and taking a consensus building approach to navigating challenging situations.
